A visit to the Ivy for a friend’s birthday brought us to Ash Street where we decided to enjoy some shared plates for dinner.

MC ordered a cider and I had my favourite, a LLB.



Service was fantastic and our friendly waiter did an excellent job of explaining the specials and ensuring we were kept happy with drinks and food.


We ordered a few plates to share:

  • Roasted almonds ($8.00)


  • Gazpacho of cucumber and apple with spanner crab ($6.00)


  • Chorizon plate- small ($8.00) with bread



  • Kingfish with cauliflower and pomegranate salad ($29.00)


  • Fries with aioli ($9.00)


While all the dishes tasted good, I really enjoyed the tangy aioli and the salty chorizon. The gazpacho was refreshing in between bites of the kingfish and fries. The dishes were all quite tasty but the portion sizes were quite small so I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you are famished.


The meal came to $74.00 all up.
